The Ninth Circuit on Monday revived the possibility of class certification in an unfair competition suit accusing Ticketmaster Corp. of sharing customers' financial information with a third party that signed them up for a coupon program without their consent.
The ruling is part of the appeals court's decision on three appeals brought by consumers who claimed they lost money to Ticketmaster's sister company and co-defendant, Entertainment Publications Inc., when they made purchases through Ticketmaster's website.
